CollabChella 2025 Highlight Reel: Music, Community, and Impact

I had the opportunity to edit the highlight reel for CollabChella, an annual music festival and fundraiser hosted by the Collaboration Center Foundation at its five-acre Las Vegas campus.

Shot by the Events Team at Cashman Photo, this project was about more than documenting a great night of live music—it was about capturing the people, energy, and shared purpose behind an event that supports the local disability community. CollabChella helps raise awareness and funds for the Collaboration Center Foundation’s services, including case management, therapy programs, support groups, and resources for individuals and families navigating disability-related needs.

The event brought together local bands, supporters, community members, food vendors, and attendees for an evening of performances, conversation, and connection. My role in post-production was to turn the event coverage into a fast-moving, engaging highlight film that reflected the festival atmosphere while still communicating why the cause matters.

Editing the Story

The edit combined several essential elements of the night:

• Soundbites from event organizers that explained the purpose behind CollabChella and the work of the Collaboration Center Foundation.

• Perspectives from supporters and attendees, giving the piece a personal and community-driven voice.

• Music-performance coverage, edited to showcase the variety, rhythm, and excitement of the live acts.

• Audience reactions and interactions, including people dancing, connecting, celebrating, and supporting the performers and the organization.

• Event details and visual atmosphere that helped establish the festival as both a fun night out and a meaningful fundraiser.

Rather than simply creating a recap, my goal was to build a piece with momentum and emotional range. The live music provided the energy and pacing of the edit, while the organizer and attendee interviews grounded the video in the mission behind the celebration.

A Collaboration With Cashman Photo

Working from footage produced by the Events Team at Cashman Photo, I shaped the material into a cohesive story that could serve the Collaboration Center Foundation after the event—helping thank supporters, demonstrate the impact of the fundraiser, and encourage future community participation.

CollabChella took place at the Collaboration Center campus at 8390 West Windmill Lane in Las Vegas. The 2025 event was scheduled for September 13 from 4:00–9:00 p.m., with the Collaboration Foundation listed as organizer.[collablv]
